For 3 years I was a travel agent at Harvey World Travel Mackay… I was fortunate enough to travel to over 40 countries during those years but nothing was as memorable as the places I visited where a local would take me off the beaten track and on an adventure. 

Riding on the back of a motorbike through Vietnam to visit a palm reader in a remote village, going on a little private family boat around the coast of Capri, or staying in a handmade Surf Lodge in Pichulemu after being the only english foreigner on a 6hour public bus ride through central Chile. It’s these purely authentic moments that I crave when I travel. It’s what Mackay really has going for it… so many experiences that are completely off the beaten track and are made so extra special by the generous and welcoming nature of the people that live here.
